Sellers Process

Welcome to Broker Dealer Place (BDP).  Thank you for considering us in your decision to sell your firm and/or financial assets.  All information given and communicated to BDP, will be held in strict confidence.  In order to assist us in realizing your goals, please familiarize yourself with the following process:

  1. Complete the Seller’s Profile;
  2. Contact from BDP representative to discuss your listing;
  3. Value your listing to establish offering price;
  4. Sign and send to BDP executed Seller’s Agency Agreement;
  5. Furnish Information Kit (Documents Kit) to BDP;
  6. Listing on BDP Web site, and marketing by BDP staff;
  7. Execute Escrow Agreement;
  8. Introduction of potential, qualified buyers to seller.   (All buyers are pre-qualified, and have tendered an escrow deposit held by an escrow agent);
  9. Offers will be submitted, in writing, to BDP;
  10. Execute a Purchase and Sale Agreement (100% or 80/20%) with buyer upon acceptance of offer;
  11. Seller notifies FINRA 30 days prior to closing;
  12. Initiate FINRA approval process (1017 – Material Change of Ownership).  Special Professionals can assist you through this complicated process (see Resources).
